Health & Safety Policy
At Lupin Tours, the health and safety of our guests and staff are our top priorities. We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone who participates in our tours. To ensure the highest standards of health and safety, we have implemented the following policies and procedures:
Enhanced Cleaning Protocols
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have enhanced our cleaning protocols to minimise the risk of transmission. Our drivers are each provided with disinfectant spray to enable them to regularly sanitise their vehicle and equipment before and after each tour, with a particular focus on high-touch surfaces such as door handles, seatbelts, and handrails.
hand hygiene
Hand hygiene is essential in preventing the spread of illness. Hand sanitiser is readily available to guests and staff throughout the duration of the tour.
health screening
Guests and staff are instructed to inform Lupin Tours of any symptoms of illness, including fever, cough and shortness of breath. Anyone exhibiting symptoms of who has been in close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 is asked to refrain from participating in the tour and seek medical attention as necessary.
communication
We are committed to providing clear and transparent communication regarding health and safety protocols to our guests and staff. Information about our policies and procedures is readily available on our website and provided to guests prior to the start of the tour. This Health and Safety Policy is available from our website.
Continuous Monitoring and Improvement
We regularly review and update our health and safety policies in accordance with guidance from health authorities and industry best practices. We remain vigilant in monitoring developments related to COVID-19 and other health risks, and we adjust our protocols as needed to ensure the safety of everyone involved.
First Aid Kits in Every Vehicle
We provide fully stocked first aid kits in every vehicle used for our tours. These kits contain essential supplies to address minor injuries and medical emergencies. We conduct regular inspections of our first aid kits to ensure that they are properly stocked and in good condition. Any expired or depleted supplies are promptly replaced to maintain readiness for emergencies.
emergency communication
In the event of a medical emergency, our guides have access to communication devices to quickly summon assistance. We have established protocols for contacting emergency services and coordinating response efforts.
MOT compliance
All vehicles used for our tours must undergo and pass the MOT test. This test evaluates the roadworthiness and safety of vehicles, including factors such as brakes, lights and tyres.
hire and reward insurance
Each vehicle in our fleet is covered by comprehensive Hire and Reward insurance. This insurance provides protection for passengers, drivers, and third parties in the event of accidents, injuries, or property damage. We verify that all insurance policies are up-to-date and provide adequate coverage for the intended use of the vehicle.
health and safety review
Our NEBOSH General certificate holder conducts scheduled reviews of our Health & Safety Policy at least annually or as needed based on regulatory changes, incidents, or emerging risks.
