Your guide will accompany you to the penguins and remain on hand to answer your questions and take photos of you enjoying your penguin encounter.

Bertha's Beach is a very special place that is recognised as a wetland area of international importance under the RAMSAR Convention, due to the diverse variety of wetland habitats and wildlife. It is one of only two in the Falklands. It is also classified as a globally Important Bird Area by Birdlife International.

After Bertha's Beach we head back towards Stanley, taking in the stunning scenery once again of huge skys, stone runs, mountains and the sea. We’ll take a trip to nearby Yorke Bay & Gypsy Cove (optional) to see even more gentoo penguins as well as, usually, Magellanic and king penguins. Three of the Falklands’ five penguin species!

We’ll then take a look around Stanley, the world’s most southerly capital city. See the main landmarks: Christ Church Cathedral, Whalebone Arch, Liberation Monument, Battle of the Falklands Monument, Government House (official residence of the King's representative), Lady Elizabeth (Liz) shipwreck. Receive local recommendations on attractions, shops, pubs and restaurants.
